R&D DIVISION
Research and development is one of the main driver of the activities performed by De Nora. Innovation is essential to keep company leadership over emerging competition in all the existing markets and to pursue new business opportunities in existing and new markets. The acquisition of the most promising innovative technologies has always been considered as a primary factor of competitiveness.
De Nora technological innovation improves the users competitiveness and for this reason R&D activities of De Nora is striving on continuous innovation on electrolyzer development design, electrode development (both traditional and gas diffused), process development for existing and future technologies. Its sustainable-innovation strategy involves engineering and developing.
The final scope of the research conducted by the R&D Division is to strengthen the standing of De Nora in the different fields of electrochemistry and to identify and develop innovative opportunities for the group so to create a shareholder value. R&D activities of De Nora include:
- Research and Development of Innovative Electrodes and Catalysts
- Design and Qualification of advanced Electrolyzers; optimization of existing Electrolyzers
- Process specification and optimization for New Cells, Systems and Electrochemical Processes
Approximately 100 scientists, chemists and engineers, are involved in R&D activities carried out by R&D Division over three sites in Italy, USA and Japan.
